About the provider
In this class we make ceramics. The kids create out of clay every week and they glaze very week so it is a fast paced class and a lot of finished pieces come home. Dana's philosophy is that making art gives the children an opportunity to make their own decisions, to find their own ideas and act on them. She teaches the basic ceramic skill set and gives a formal assignment the first class and when kids want them. As they develop their own ideas and concepts, Dana helps actualize their individual projects. The class uses professional tools, high quality clay and professional foodsafe glazes. The social dynamic with kids interacting between 1st to 5th grades is beneficial. The class is a lot of GOOD MESSY FUN :)
