Description
Want to hear a good story? In this combined class, we'll use fairytales and folktales to spark our own oral (aspiring writers) and written stories (older writers). During class, students will be inspired to foster their creativity and self-expression. We'll also explore the basic elements of what makes a good story, talk about our favorite stories (and what makes them powerful), and play word games to ignite our imaginations. Students will learn to create their own characters and settings using art, music, photography and the natural world as inspiration. All they need is paper, pencil and their imaginations!
